3.1 Automatically Collected

  • Device Info: Type, model, OS version, unique identifiers (IDFA), mobile network
  • Usage Data: Features used, session duration, crashes, performance
  • Location: Approximate location (country/region from IP)
  • Advertising: Ad impressions, clicks, advertising ID

3.2 Payment Information

Payments processed by Apple App Store. We don’t access payment details. Apple shares subscription status only.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Firebase Analytics (Google)

Collects: Device info, app usage, crashes, location (country/region). Google processes as data processor. Data stored in US/other Google facilities.

5.2 Google AdMob

Displays ads. Collects: Advertising ID, IP, location, ad interactions. Shows personalized ads based on interests.

5.3 Other Sharing

We don’t sell data. May share:

  • With service providers under contract
  • For legal compliance
  • During business transfers

6. International Transfers

Data may be processed in US and other countries. For EEA/UK/Switzerland: We use Standard Contractual Clauses, EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and adequacy decisions.

7. Data Retention

  • Analytics: 2 months (Firebase default)
  • Advertising: Per Google’s retention policies
  • Support: As needed for inquiry resolution

After retention period: deleted or anonymized.

8. Children’s Privacy

Not directed to children under 13. Don’t knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have, we’ll delete it. Parents: contact hello@daru.co.nz.

10. Security

We implement reasonable security measures including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Do Not Track

Our App doesn’t respond to Do Not Track signals. You can disable tracking via iOS settings (Settings > Privacy > Tracking).

12. Cookies and Tracking

The App uses tracking technologies (SDKs) from Firebase and AdMob to collect data as described. These aren’t traditional cookies but function similarly for mobile apps.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes posted in-app with updated “Last Updated” date. Material changes: we’ll notify via the App or email (if applicable). Continued use = acceptance.

The App may contain links to third-party sites. We’re not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their privacy policies.
